Measurement of complex permittivity and permeability in dielectric materials placed on a substrate using waveguide method

摘要 提出了应用微波网络分析仪测量有衬底介质的复介电常数和复磁导率的原理、方法 ,并给出了计算实例 .该方法适用于吸波材料研究中多层介质样品的电磁参数的测量 ,具有样品易于制作、测量简单准确等优点 ,并可在较高的频率下使用 . A broad band technique for making simultaneous frequency measurement of complex permittivity and complex permeability of dielectric materials placed on a known substrate was described. The characteristics of these dielectric materials were evaluated from two port scattering parameter measurement of a waveguide cell by using a microwave vector network analyzer, and the calculating example was given. ε r and μ r of absorbing materials were computed from the measured S parameters and were found to be better than ±5 percent. The fact demonstrated that the method proposed is of high accuracy, easily operated and suitable for the measurement with high frequency.
