The existence of so-called 'adjunct archivist' in university is intensively analyzed. A novel viewpoint that the 'adjunct archivist' is a wrong designation is proposed. Moreover, according to the related laws,regulations and practical experience, the reason for the wrong designation, its influence on file work and the solution to the problem are explained in detail.
