Comparing the Financial Systems between the US and Japan:an Implication for the Current US Economy

就美国经济当前出现与日本90年代大萧条前相似的特征,金融界人士由此产生的"美国经济是否会重蹈日本覆辙"的忧虑,笔者比较两国金融体制后发现,相似经济表象背后两国金融体制存在本质区别,美国经济不太可能步日本的后尘。

The current US economy is experiencing the similar pressures with Japan before its entering into the long term recession in the 1990s. These days many US economists wonder whether US will follow Japan's suit and slide into a similar recession. After comparing the different financial systems between the US and Japan, the author concludes that US is likely to escape Japan's plight in the near future.
