广泛存在于大洋之中的深海热泉生物群落依靠化学自营维持生存与繁衍,构成了独特的生态系统,是对光合作用生态系统理论的一个挑战和补充,在生物学上有着重要的研究意义,对于揭示生命的起源与拓展生命的生存空间有着重要的学术价值,而且还孕育着广泛而重要的应用价值和商业前景,具体体现在新型医药开发、基因疗法、工业应用以及环境保护等方面。深海热泉生物将是人类最重要的基因资源宝库。
s: The first expedition to discover and explore deep sea hot spring creatures was on the Galapagos Rift in 1977 using the research submarine Alvin. In order to adapt to the special deepsea surrounding, these creatures were rebuild to grotesque in shape, and most of those were taken the effective creature luminant. Nowadays, there is a new 'boom' stage on the field of seacreature due to the fact that the deepsea hot springs host abundant life forms living on recently erupted deepsea volcanic lavas. These creatures depend on chemosynthesis to maintain their living and multiply, consisting of a special ecosystem which is a challenge and supplement to photosynthesis ecosystem. An important research significative meaning is provided by this phenomenon. The most popular ecosystem is like a cycle, in which green plants are consists of the base of food cycle, and photosynthesis play the role of translator of energy and food, in the end, these materials are used by consumers such as human beings. However, this ecosystem can not explain the extensively existing phenomena of creatures in the deepsea. The deepsea hot spring creatures have a momentous scientific value to probe into the origin of lives and to exploit the space of living, moreover, it indicates important applied values and commercial future, which were practiced in some fields, such as new medicines research, genic treatment, industrial application and environment protection. The deepsea creatures are thesaurus of new medicine and active materials holding medical values, and most of those can not be found in terraneous creatures. 'Taking medicines from sea' has been the focus in medical field. Moreover, scientists have achieved a huge success to cure some illness by means of replanting a series of deepsea creature gene to the sickness, indicting the splendid future of genic therapeutic. The special enzymes from deepsea creatures usually keep effective activity in most industrial processes, and can be used in industrial fields extensive. These deepsea creatures also have important applied values in environmentprotection area, which can cleaned out heavy metal and petrolic pollution. The deepsea creature genic and enzymic resources have been hold huge commercial future. Nowadays, several billion dollars values have got from the application of deepsea creatures. Thus, the deepsea creatures industry was called the rising sun industry of blue sea.
