许浑《丁卯集》的思想内涵并非如传统上所认为的徜徉山水、遁世绝俗那么单纯。济世思想或明或暗地贯穿了诗人的一生,反映到诗歌创作中,就形成了《丁卯集》丰富的题材和深刻的内蕴。突出的是对宦官把持朝政、藩镇拥军割据及皇帝荒淫昏庸等晚唐重大的政治问题都有较为真切的反映和客观的评价。

The ideological implications in XU Huns A Collection of Poems at the Dingmao Bridge are far from being simple and pure reflections on roaming leisurely about mountains and rivers,or living in seclusion and cutting himself off the conventional life,as they were traditionally thought of.It was,as a matter of fact,the idea of doing good to society which manifested itself throughout the poets life that led to the formation of ideological connotation of the collection,rich and deep.These poems of XU Huns are vivid reflections and clear evaluations of major political problems in the late Tang Dynasty including the eunuchs monopolizing court administration,the military governors setting up separatist regimes by force of arms,and the debauchedness and muddleheadedness of emperors.
