视频服务器系统中接入控制问题的研究

摘要 在构建大规模视频服务系统时,视频服务器的性能如何非常关键,而接入控制(AdmissionControl)功能作为服务器系统直接面对用户的前端,设计得如何对视频服务器的性能、吞吐率、资源的利用率、客户感知的QoS水平等都有着极大的影响。该文围绕多媒体视频服务器中接入控制的作用与目标,对接入控制问题进行了研究,分析了影响接入控制问题和策略的一些因素,如磁盘带宽等系统资源、服务周期时长与接入控制的关系。由于统计型的接入控制策略与确定型策略相比,在提高系统的资源利用率、提高可接入的并发用户数方面,都有相当的优势。因此,该文对统计型的接入控制算法也做了较为深入的分析。 In building large-scale video service systems ,video servers' performance is very important.As the front end of the systems ,the design of admission control mechanisms has great impact on the performance,throughput ,utilization of resources,QoS level of video servers.This paper analyzes the major factors affecting admissio n control policies,such as critical system resources like disk bandwidth and length of service round.Compared with other admission control poli-cies,statistical policies have advantages in some respects,such as higher resource utilization and more users admitted.Therefore,they are analyzed in more detail.
