This paper discusses the Chinese generation method used in a JapaneseChinese machine translation system based on transformation approach.Some difficult issues in Chinese generation from casegrammar representation of Japanese are analyzed.These issues include selections of word's meaning,processing of case phrases,adjustment of words order and generation of Chinese sentences.The processings of mood,tense,aspect,punctuation and conjunction are also considered.
