New Properties of Oracle 8i and its Application in Implementing Spatial Databases

摘要 分析了Oracle 8i对面向对象思想、大对象以及集合等新数据类型支持的诸多新特性 ,阐述了将这些新特性应用到空间数据库实现中的优势 ,并结合笔者开发的空间数据库给出了一个实例。 Object-oriented technology, new properties such as supporting to large objects and collections data types have been discussed in this paper. The advantages of applying these new properties to implementation of spatial database have been analyzed. An example has been introduced finally.
