On Mass Culture in Chinese Language

大众文化在当代中国的出现是一种文化进步 ,对中国当前社会发展必不可少。然而 ,作为一种有着巨大影响而又充满内在矛盾的文化境遇 ,肯定大众文化的进步性并不意味着可以漠视大众文化的弊端给中国社会带来的负面影响。事实上 ,大众文化自身也的确存在着种种不足和问题 ,必须对中国大众文化的发展过程进行引导、规范、调节、控制和改造 ,以现代人文精神提升大众文化。

Mass culture in Chinese language is presented with the reform and opening to outside world. As a cultural circumstance with great influence and full of inner contradiction, its advantages and positive side mean no disregard of side\|effects that mass culture has brought to Chinese society. It should be promoted with modern humanistic spirits.
