Through studies on significance and feasibility of competitive sports in training talents with competitiveness,the author found that when emphasis was laid on consciousness of P.E. as the main body of health education,attention should also be paid to functions of competitive sports in training the talents. Points to be heeded to at different stages of school P.E. in order to train the students' competitiveness and ability of competing were suggested.
