Xian Yuan(猃狁 ) in Shijing and Inscriptions on Bronze

猃狁是殷周时期北方的一支少数民族部落,甲骨卜辞中就对该族的活动情况有所记载,传世典籍中对猃狁的记载更是众说纷纭,莫衷一是。为了对猃狁的历史有一个全面的了解,本文采用历史二重证据法,利用传统文献和金文中的材料对猃狁在先秦时期的情况作一些探索。

Xian Yun was a m inority clan in the north in Yin and Zhou Dynasty.Records in the traditional books are quite vary.In order to have a thorough understanding of Xia Yun,this paper will display some details of Xian Yun in that period by using the traditional documents and Inscriptions on Bronze.
