《荷马史诗》(包括《伊利亚特》和《奥德赛》)是西方多种文学传统的源头。这部人类童年时代的作品一开始就显露这样的端倪:女人是不自由的,女人的“被缚”了。女人的“被缚”可分多种情形,它有着深刻的社会根源。“被缚”女人的塑造对后世文学有着很大的影响。

The writings of Homer,including Iliad and Odyssey is the origins of kinds of literature traditions in the west. The above two epics, produced in the children period of mankind, become visible in the facts from the facts from the beginning that the women appearing in the writings of Homer aren't free, because they are all bound.There are varied conditions to which the women are bound.The facts ,that the women are bound, can result from the deeper societry at that time.And it is Homer's crating the bound characters in his writings that has brought about great effect on the latter western literature.
