摘要
计算机英语的专业术语主要通过旧词新义、新创词、缩略词等途径组成,同时采用了较多的专业词组。在句法结构上大量使用被动结构、There be句型、It句型、陈述定义句以及含有名词化结构的句子。从词汇和句法角度分析了计算机英语的主要特征及其汉译方法。
Most of technical terms in computer English are formed by giving new meaning to common words, creating new lexis and adopting technical phrases including many initialisms and clipped words. There are a great many passive structures, There-be structures,It (as preparetory subject) sentences, definition statements and the sentences containing the structure N+of+N in computer English. The paper analyses the features of computer English from the perspective of its technical terms and sentences.
