This paper probes into the significance and necessity of introducing computers into the management of textbooks in higher institutions. Starting with the use of the system of textbook management, this paper presents the language, structure, running environment, characteristics as well as working effect in developing the system. The pur-pose of that is to have an ample understanding of the important role which computers play in bettering the modern administration of textbooks in higher institutions.
