英语阅读在英语学习中占有重要地位。它不但能够提高人们使用英语的能力,而且可以丰富人们的知识。英语阅读分为表层阅读和深层阅读。要想领悟阅读材料的内涵,阅读时必须推断其深层含义。只有掌握了推断的性质和功能,才能娴熟地运用推断。

English reading is very important. It can not only improve the ability of using English, but also enrich one′s knowledge. It can be divided into superficial reading and deep reading. If one wants to grasp the connotation of a reading material, one must infer the deep meaning of it while reading. Only when one masters the character and the function of inference can one use inference freely.
