This article expounds and proves the sodium isopentyl xanthate applied in gold flotation theoretically and practically, It embraces the following points. (1) The theoretical study of raising gold recovery by use of sodium isopentylxanthate; (2) Small-Scale test, (3) Full scale test and proof tests (4) Economic benefit. This article not only discusses the advantages of sodium isopentyl xanthate but also compared sodium isopentyl xanthate with sodium butyl xanthate on collecting property and steadiness,thus indicating the economic and technical value of popularizing this new flotation agent.
