摘要
海警执勤的涉外性呼唤具有较高的英语实际应用能力的海警人才,而学校目前的专业英语教学水平,特别是具有海警特色的ESP教学水平,还跟不上时代的需要。要提高海警专业ESP的教学水平,必须完善教学大纲,改进课程设计和教学形式,建立一支合格的海警专业ESP教师队伍,加强第二课堂建设,引入新的以口试为核心的测试模式。
The teaching of ESP for marine engineering majors in the Academy does not live up to the demand of their career work where the practical ability to use the language plus marine knowledge is the prime requirement.This paper insists that greater efforts should be made to improve the leaching quality of ESP through upgrading the leaching program,teaching designs and the making of qualified ESP teachers.
