摘要
高职高专英语教学为满足学生未来就业需要过分强调实用性,只注重学生英语语言实际应用能力的培养,忽视学生整体人文素质的养成。学生的英语运用能力和人文素养应该协调发展。为此,在高职高专英语教学中应引入人文素质教育。
English teaching in vocational colleges is characterized by its over- emphasis on training the students to use English for their future work,leaving no place for the students to develop humanities quality.This paper insists that two basic functions of English teaching,namely instrumental and integrative,should be well- balanced.In order to achieve this,we must introduce humanities education into vocational English teaching.
