Opportunities and Challenges for China Maritime Police from the Perspective of Current Situation in South China Sea

日趋紧张的南海局势一方面给海警部队的发展带来重要机遇,要求海警部队在维护我国海洋权益方面发挥更大的作用。另一方面,由于海警部队的建设现状,海警部队在应对南海问题时也面临着许多挑战。

The current tense situation of the South China Sea brings the opportunities and challenges to Chinese Maritime Police.On the one hand,the situation brings important opportunities for development of Chinese Maritime Police,requiring it to play a greater role in safeguard China' s maritime rights and interests.On the other hand,Chinese Maritime Police is also facing many challenges when dealing with the South China Sea issue because of the current construction status.
