试论对外新闻编译中的“动态对等”原则

On Dynamic Equivalence in English Translation of Chinese News

在传统译论中,"信"或"忠实"往往被排在首位。但在对外新闻编译中,由于中外文化和双方话语体系的差异,译者不能一味地追求逐字逐句的对等。奈达(Nida)的动态对等原则有一定指导意义,即在宏观层面根据文体特征来调整文章结构,并用读者易于接受的语气传递信息。本文基于这一理念,结合译例做出相应分析。

It is always argued that 'fidelity' or 'faithfulness' is the golden rule in C-E translation,but it has been proven that with regard of the English translation of Chinese news,using this rule is not the best strategy.This paper tries to illustrate that according to the concept of 'dynamic equivalence' by Eugene Nida,an ideal translation of Chinese news must be one which can arouse the same of similar feelings among its English readers.This requires a translator to make some necessary changes on the source text,and not to obey the 'fidelity rule' no matter when.
