Research on Use of Force in Mekong Integrated Patrol Enforcement by the Water Division

云南边防总队水上支队担负澜沧江-湄公河国际航道的联合巡逻执法任务,在打击航道及周边各类违法犯罪活动、救助遇险船只等方面发挥着日趋重要的作用。该航道敌社情复杂,对官兵执法、执勤安全造成较大威胁。针对当前水上支队执法、执勤武力使用中存在的主要问题,制定出切实可行的应对策略,以确保部队安全、规范、高效地完成好湄公河联合巡逻执法任务。

The Water Division of Yunnan Frontier Defense Corps is in charge of the patrol mission of Lancang-Mekong River international waterway, playing a more and more important role in cracking down on crimes and rescuing ships in distress in the waterway area. This waterway is in such a complex situation that it poses threats to the safety of officers and soldiers. On account of the main problems of use of force during enforcing laws by the Water Division, feasible coping strategies are being formulated to ensure that the troops can fulfill their missions safely, normatively and efficiently.
