'Data structure' is the key foundation course in computer-related professional. But there are some common problems in the course teaching, such as unsound learning of the pilot course, abstract content, lack of practical class hours, single evaluation method and so on. The teaching effect can be effectively improved by adopting four coping strategies, including reviewing pertinently, adopting flexible teaching methods, enlarging the practice of theoretical courses and perfecting the methods of examination and evaluation.
