Change of Comparative Economic Advantages and Transformation of Sino-Japanese Economic Relations Analysis of the Benefit Japan Obtained from Chinas Economic Boom

恢复邦交正常化30年来,中日经济关系获得了迅速发展,目前又到了重要转型期。促使中日经济关系转型的重要原因是中日比较经济优势的变化。90年代以来日本经济始终处于萧条或衰退之中,由此也对中日经济关系发展造成了多重阻碍;而中国经济则长期保持着快速增长势头,由此也对中日经济关系发展形成了多方推动。中国经济的持续快速增长还对日本经济本身产生了多方面的积极作用,夸大中国经济崛起对日本威胁的“中国威胁论”具有明显片面性。

During the thirty years since the normalization of diplomatic relations, the economic relationship between China and Japan witnessed rapid development and has now entered an important transformational period. An important cause that has prompted the transformation of Sino-Japanese economic relationship is the change of the comparative economic advantages of the two countries. Ever since the 1990s, the economy of Japan has suffered from serious recession which has resulted in multiple setbacks for further development of the economic relationship between the two countries, while that of China has enjoyed long-term rapid growth, which has not only propelled the development of Sino-Japanese economic relationship, but also had multiple positive effect on the economy of Japan. It is obviously ungrounded to exaggerate that the economic boom of China will threaten Japan.
