The author, in this article, makes new explorations on the several basic concepts relating to the museology. The author holds that museum and museology, as subjects of learning, Should be regarded as the terms with certain onnotative meanings, and the up-to-date elaborations and interpretations made on the museums do not refer to the museums expounded in the light of museology. Talking about the problem of 'museum phenomenon', the author points out that 'museum phenomenon' is within the reseaerch and study scope of museology, which should not be taken as museum itself. In addition, the article makes explorations on the relations between museums with universal meanings and museums with museological meanings.
