本文指出在改革开放浪潮中,传统文化与外来文化、新文化与旧文化的碰撞是必然要发生的。对待传统文化的态度虚无主义与至上主义都是认识上的形而上学。新文化既要摆脱传统文化的束缚又要根植于传统文化,这就是历史前进的辩证法。在国际博物馆界和中国博物馆界都存在着如何对待博物馆传统的争论。作者着重介绍了对博物馆教育这个传统观念的争论,并阐述了自己对博物馆教育的见解。本文还阐述了口头讲解工作的重要性,阐述了任何物质工具不可替代面对面讲解的道理。

This is the dialectics in the development of history.The contravercies over the museum tradition exist both in Chinese and foreign museum circles.
