汉语作为第二语言教学与汉语作为外语教学

摘要 何为"对外汉语教学"?学术界一般的表述是"对外国人进行的汉语作为第二语言(Teaching Chinese as a Second Language,TCSL)或外语(Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language,TCFL)的教学"。那么,究竟汉语作为第二语言和汉语作为外语的教学是怎样的关系呢?此种表述是冗余还是精确呢?本文尝试初步探索。
