Transformed from a high-speed development stage to a medium and high speed development stage, China's economy has entered into a state called'New Normal'. The significant reforms in economic development mode certainly will affect all kinds of fields in engineering construction, therefore proper risk management and prevention measures in engineering construction are of great importance in the economic development under the New Normal. On basis of summarizing the elements of engineering construction development, the article analyzes the indispensability of risk management in engineering construction under the New Normal, thereafter it illustrates the necessities of risk prevention strategies for engineering construction enterprises under such circumstances, thus having certain reference value.
