柳无忌在文学创作、翻译和教育领域取得了诸多的成就,但是相关的研究成果并不多见,其在文学编辑领域的才能也没有得到正视。在柳无忌并不长的文学编辑活动中,总有他在清华学校时结识的文学社的同学的身影。柳无忌认识到了新文学对于中国社会的独特意义,他是带着促进中国新文学发展的宗旨来开展文学编辑活动的,充满了对新文学的使命感和社会责任感。柳无忌在从事文学编辑编辑工作的过程中注重刊发诗歌和西方文学作品,既与他个人的求学经历和个人兴趣爱好有关,也与振兴中国新文学的文学编辑宗旨有关,对西方文学作品的引进以及中国新诗的发展做出了比较大的贡献。柳无忌的文学编辑活动,对当时的文艺界尤其是北方文艺界产生了比较大的影响。

LIU Wuji had many achievements in literary writing, translation and education, but the relevant studies are rare. His talents in the field of literary editing have not been taken seriously. In the short time period of LIU Wuji’s literary editing activities, his classmates that he met at the literary club of the Tsinghua school can always be seen. LIU Wuji recognized the unique significance of new literature for Chinese society. He carried out literary editing activities with the aim of promoting the development of Chinese new literature and was full of the sense of mission for new literature and responsibility for Chinese society. LIU Wuji focused on publishing poetry and foreign literary works in his literary editorial work. This was related not only to his personal study experience and personal interests and hobbies, but also to the literary editorial purpose of revitalizing Chinese new literature. LIU’s literary editing activities made great contributions to the introduction of Western literature and the development of Chinese new poetry, and had considerable impact on the literary and artistic circles, especially on the literary and artistic circles in Northern China.
