美国“5C”外语学习标准视域下的大学通用学术英语教学改革探索

Exploration of English for General Academic Purposes Teaching Based on American“5C”Foreign Language Learning Standards

专门用途英语教学已纳入了大学英语教学指南,并确定了其教学地位。通用学术英语(EGAP)教学作为专门用途英语(ESP)教学的一个分支,在国内的教学方式与手段还不成熟。当前,如何有效开展通用学术英语教学成为众多高校不断尝试与探索的焦点。青岛农业大学尝试基于美国"5C"外语学习标准及其3P交际模式,开展通用学术英语课堂教学设计与探索实践,通过丰富语言教学主题内容、增加语言应用实践,较为有效地提升了学术英语教学效果,为创新通用学术英语教学方法提供经验之鉴。

ESP( English for Specific Purposes) has incorporated into the latest National College English Teaching Guidelines where its status has been ensured. The teaching of English for Academic Purposes( EGAP) is a branch of ESP teaching,the teaching methods of which are not mature. How to conduct EGAP teaching effectively has become a significant focus for many universities to make great effort to explore. It was carried out to study the EGAP teaching design in Qingdao Agricultural University based on the American '5C'foreign language learning standards and its 3P communicative model through enriching language teaching contents,increasing the practice of language application which is proved to have promoted the effect of EGAP teaching and provide some experience to the exploration of EGAP teaching methods.
