The paper introduces the current development situation with regard to the green building industry,and costs and profitability of green buildings,elaborated value management in project design,construction management phase of practical application and effective results.Practice shows that the value of green building project management to achieve the desired goal of green building design and construction problems and alleviate the green building industry in the development process exposed an enormous help. The paper also presents how VM can implement its system by phases and the findings from the practices how VM can be applied to design and construction management process. The potential benefits of using VM system are also discussed.
