麦克尤恩三个短篇小说文本分别为《最初的爱情,最后的仪式》﹑《蝴蝶》和《夏日里的最后一天》。第一篇揭示了青春期的情欲和浪漫,它却不会长久,给将要走向社会打拼的少年带来焦虑和惆怅,这是成长和成熟的必经阶段;第二篇刻画和再现人物的生理和心理的转变,从而引起读者对人性的反思;第三篇从少年眼里透视成年人的生活周遭和精神世界,揭示人际关系表面上的和睦以及心理上的疏离。通过悬置文论,贴近文本,旨在对小说进行精解细读,同时对麦氏的题材之选﹑叙事技巧﹑洗练笔法进行简要考察。

Mc Ewan's three short novels under study in this essay are 'First Love,Last Ritual','Butterfly'and'The Last Day of Summer'. The literary theme of the first piece is about youthful experience and sexuality,which is of transience,anxiety and melancholy. The second piece is of a psychological account of the protagonist,which is to rouse the reader's reflection on human nature. The third piece presents an interesting adolescent observation of the habitat of life,revealing human's innermost chaos as opposed to superficial harmony. Rather than imposing the focal theoretical framework,the priority is placed on a perusal of the text of the novels. The author also takes a brief look at the subject matter,narrative features and technicalities of Mc Ewan's fiction.
