摘要
通过对张培基翻译的散文《渐》中所存在的问题进行商榷,结合欧阳利锋对同一散文的英译,从"形似"与"神似"、"直译"与"意译"的视角进行对比研究。研究表明,散文翻译宜以直译为主,意译为辅,先"形似"而后"神似",贵在保持原汁原味,妙在"似"与"不似"之间。
The paper first discusses the imperfections in Zhang Peiji's translation of Jian and then makes a contrastive study of Zhang Peiji's and Ouyang Lifeng's translation of the same essay. The author holds that in the translation of essays,formal resemblance should be favored over likeness in spirit,and literal translation should precede free translation. The priority should be given to retain the original flavor of the source text and strike a proper balance of formal resemblance and likeness in spirit.
