语言研究中的生物学提案及其最简框架探析——基于Chomsky(2014)解读音义界面间的非对称性

Biolinguistic Proposal and A Preliminary Inquiry into Minimalist Framework: An Interpretation of Interfaces' Asymmetry Based on Chomsky( 2014)

语言习得中的刺激贫乏论和语言本体的生物性特征是生成语言学立论的主要依据,而最简最优的语言研究理念认为解读机制和外化程序二者间并不对称:前者基于层级性结构表达式而后者其实为辅助性的线性序列。据此而生的最简递归论颠覆了亚里斯多德以音为语言实质的传统语言观,并认为句法推导作为优化的计算系统是以合并为原始操作的;语法的计算效率始终优先于语言的使用效率。从语言的生物性实质和有机体发展所必须遵循的第三因素的视角,阐述普遍性科学范式追求精简和优化的最简理念以及原则、例外、抽象化等研究方法的科学意义。

The argument from POS( Poverty of Stimulus) and the biological properties of language itself form the premises for Generative Linguistics,whereas the research orientation based on the optimally minimalist belief leads to the finding of the asymmetry between the interpretational mechanism and the externalization mechanism: the former is hierarchically based,while the latter is a linearly-based ancillary procedure. The proposal of minimalist recursion has dismantled the foundation of Aristotelian conception of language as ' sound with meaning' and holds the view that the Mergedbased computational efficiency always trumps the communicative efficiency in language use. From the viewpoints of biological essence of language and from the Third Factor considerations,the present article argues for the minimalist tenet that general scientific norm strives for simplicity and optimality; and the scientific significance is discussed that is attached to research methods such as principles,exceptions and abstraction.
