A Survey of Contemporary New Zealand Fiction

新西兰邮政图书奖是新西兰最富盛名的文学奖项,其获奖小说颇能反映当代新西兰文坛的现状。以近二十年新西兰邮政图书奖获奖小说为例,对当代新西兰小说创作的格局进行梳理,认为女性作家、成名作家、毛利作家、华裔作家与新锐作家构成了当代新西兰小说创作的四大支柱。在一个全球化和文化多元的时代,当代新西兰文学已经步入一个突破创新和快速发展的时期,"历史题材"和"去地方化"成为解读当代新西兰小说的两个重要切入点。

New Zealand Post Book Award is the most prestigious literary award in New Zealand,the award-winning novels of which can reflect the status of contemporary New Zealand literature. Taking New Zealand Post Book Award winning novels as an example,this paper intends to analyze the contemporary New Zealand's novel creation from a mico-perspective,holding that women writers,the established writers,the Maori writers,Chinese-New Zealander writers and fledging writers constitute the four pillars of contemporary New Zealand fiction. In a global and multicultural era,the contemporary New Zealand fiction has entered a booming and creative period,with the historical theme and delocalization as two important perspectives to understand it.
