摘要
以通用英语为主体的大学英语教学在不同的历史发展阶段有着不同的功能定位,大学英语教学体系也在不断变化、发展和完善中。大学英语具有工具性和通识教育的双层属性。用学术英语取代以通用英语为主体的大学英语的做法没有考虑中国高校英语教育的现状,学术英语是高校英语教学的重要组成部分,重构高校英语教学体系是目前我国高校英语教育的当务之急,要做到兼顾通用英语、学术英语。
College English Teaching taking EGP as the principal part has different functional orientations at different stages of its development. The College English Teaching System is always in the process of changing,developing and perfecting. College English possesses dual attributes of both a tool and general education. Replacing EGP with EAP is not in line with China's current national condition. The direction of College English teaching reform is to reconstruct the College English Teaching System,taking EAP into account,covering both EGP and EAP.
