To ensure operation correctness of relaying protection devices under transient condition,the selecting for characteristic and parameters of electromagnetic type current transformer which is used in generator transformer unit protection,such as continue time of fault current,transient area coefficient K td ,general flux multiple K n etc.is researched and discussed combining with calculation of project example in this paper.
