The textbook of'Structure and Properties of Polymers'in English has been published by Alpha Science International Ltd and issued worldwide.In polymer science it is the first textbook in English written by Chinese scientist and published by a foreign press.The manuscript makes clear the writing history and the publishing background of the textbook in Chinese,and the origin of the textbook in English.It is emphasizing that the importance of copyright in writing book in English.The manuscript has pointed out some errors in the textbook in Chinese,and the modifications and revises in that in English.It is hope that the textbook in English will play apositive role for introducing the accomplishments and teaching in polymer physics in China.
