"命运共同体"理念是中国外交的战略思想和价值指导原则,是对人类利益和价值通约性的把握。这一理念来源于马克思主义的"世界历史"和"人类的存在物"的哲学思想;来源于中华传统文化中的"天下观"与"王道"思想;来源于包括中国优秀传统价值观在内的人类共同价值观思想。"命运共同体"是马克思主义共同体理论在当代条件下的创新和发展;使各国和各国人民共同享受尊严、共同享受发展成果、共同享受安全保障;表达了中国追求和平的愿望,体现了中国愿与各国共同繁荣的责任担当,展示了和平崛起的中国气派,是中国参与世界治理的重要指导思想。以人为本是构建"命运共同体"的基本前提,正确义利观是构建"命运共同体"的基本准则;价值观的弘扬和践履是构建"命运共同体"的基本途径。

The concept of a community of shared future is a guiding principle of the strategic thought and values of Chinese diplomacy, expressing the understanding of humankind's interests and values. This concept has its origin in Marxist philosophy regarding world history and human existence. It came from the view of benevolent governance found in traditional Chinese culture. It embodies the values of the entire humanity which includes China's fine traditional cultural values. It represents an innovation and development of Marxist community theory under current circumstances. It means that all peoples share common respect, the fruits of development and guarantee of security. It expresses China's wish to pursue peace and its sense of responsibility in sharing prosperity with other countries. It demonstrates China's peaceful rise and serves as an important guiding principle for China's participation in global governance. Putting people first is the prerequisite for building a community of shared future; the correct outlook on having justice and seeking interests is the basic norm for building such a community; and upholding values is a basic path for achieving such a community.
