Innovation and development of China's public diplomacy

中共十八大以来,中共中央统筹国内国际两个大局、统筹发展安全两件大事,以积极进取、奋发有为的姿态开展公共外交,将政府主导的传统公共外交与非政府机构开展的非传统公共外交结合起来,主动塑造、积极引导国际社会树立客观全面的"中国观","维护海外合法权益","深化中外理解,促进政策明晰化",公共外交在中国外交中的地位和作用被提升到一个前所未有的高度,逐步走出了一条中国特色的大国公共外交道路。

Since the 18 th CPC National Congress, the leadership of the CPC Central Committee, has carefully coordinated China's domestic and international efforts, worked out the overall plan of development and security issues, and engaged in public diplomacy in an active way. Combining conventional public diplomacy led by the government and unconventional public diplomacy led by non-governmental organizations, the leadership of the CPC Central Committee has proactively shaped and guided the "China view" held by the international community, safeguarded China's overseas legal rights, expanded understanding of China and foreign countries, and sought further policy clarity. Public diplomacy has blazed a path for major-country public diplomacy with Chinese characteristics, with its position and role in China's foreign policy reaching unprecedented heights.
