On November 12 th, 2016, Jackie Chan became the first Chinese to win the Academy Honorary Award. With more than five decades' experience in the film industry and 200-plus films, Jackie Chan is not only a disseminator of Chinese culture, but also a symbol of Chinese culture himself. As windows into China and the Chinese people for the international audience, Mr. Chan's films have been screened worldwide. He has launched and participated in a considerable number of charitable initiatives, many of which are of international impact. Mr. Chan wished for world peace on many of his birthdays and as a world-famous celebrity, he has long championed for world peace. In a recent interview with the Public Diplomacy Quarterly, Jackie Chan shared his thoughts on the international exchange of films, international charitable activities and world peace.
