Contention among Major Countries in Africa and China-African Relations

非洲在世界进程中起到至关重要的作用,受多重因素影响,非洲正成为世界大国必争之地。以法国、美国为首的西方发达国家力图增强对非洲的控制力,以谋求政治和经济利益,并对中国与非洲的务实合作多有警觉和攻击。然中非关系持续快速发展趋势难以阻挡,中国的无私援助在非洲获得真心称誉,非洲国家积极参与"一带一路"计划更是其发自内心的发展诉求,这与西方对非关系有本质区别。

Africa plays an indispensable role in the world, and it is increasingly becoming a hotly contested spot where some major powers of the world are engaged in intense competition, as a result of multiple factors. Western developed countries, led by France and the U.S., are striving to strengthen their control over Africa for political and economic interests, and hence have a wary eye and aggressive tone on China-Africa practical cooperation. Nonetheless, the rapid development of China-Africa ties cannot to be stopped, as China’s unselfish assistance has won wholehearted praise from African countries, whose active participation in the Belt and Road Initiative reflects their aspiration to develop. China-Africa relations are essentially different from the relations between the Western countries and Africa.
