A Study on Military Public Diplomacy of the Republic of Korea

公共外交作为传统外交的补充形式,在国与国之间的对外交往中承担着越来越重要的任务。军事公共外交可以视为军事外交与公共外交的有机结合,目的在于通过军队展开的外交活动,提高本国政府和军队在国际社会中的地位和影响力。韩国军队出于提升国际形象和"报恩"国际社会的目的,积极参与国际维和、灾难救援等军事活动,极大拓展了公共外交空间,使得国家在政治、军事等多个领域获取了更多的利益。

Public diplomacy,as a complementary form of traditional diplomacy,is playing an increasing role in the international exchanges between different countries.Military public diplomacy,which can be regarded as a dynamic combination of military diplomacy and public diplomacy,aims to improve the international standing and influence of the government and armed forces through diplomatic activities implemented by armed forces.With the aim to improve its international image and'repaying the kindness'of the international community,the South Korean Military has been actively participating in international peacekeeping and disaster relief missions,opening up great room for public diplomacy,which has helped South Korea to achieve more benefits in politics,military and other various aspects.
