Abe’s Visit to China and the Cognition of the Media in China and Japan

值中日和平友好条约缔结40周年之际,日本首相安倍晋三于2018年10月25日至27日实现了对中国的正式访问。这是日本现任首相时隔七年后的正式访华,是中日关系重回正常轨道,进入新的发展阶段的重要风向标。安倍此访具有重要意义,引起各方尤其是全球各大媒体的高度关注。《人民日报》《光明日报》《环球时报》等中国主流纸媒与日本五大全国报纸均及时报道相关讯息,并刊发相关评论。本文通过解读这些评论,对比两国媒体的不同认知与态度。

On the 40 th anniversary of the Sino-Japan Treaty of Peace and Friendship, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe paid an official visit to China from October 25 th to 27 th, 2018. This is the first official visit to China made by an incumbent Japanese prime minister in seven years. The event is an important indication of China-Japan relations returning to normal and entering a new stage of development. Abe’s visit is of great significance and has attracted wide attention from all parties, especially major global media. The People’s Daily, Guangming Daily, Global Times and other mainstream newspapers in China and five national newspapers in Japan all reported the news in time and published relevant comments. By interpreting these comments, this paper will compare the different perceptions and attitudes of the media in the two countries.
