The'Potsdam Proclamation'is a momentous achievement attained by the anti-fascist forces all over the world in the process of the victory over the fascist forces,and a cornerstone of the post-war international order,playing an important role in the progressive course of the human race. However,due to the tortuosity of historical development and the complexity of the conditions of the age,'Potsdam Proclamation'encountered various obstacles in the implementation process,making the rights that China shall have as a major anti-fascist alliance member not to be fully guaranteed and the purgation of Japanese militarism is not thorough enough. This paper analyzes the historical roles of the 'Potsdam Proclamation,'the divergences and the struggles in the implementation process,and the profound lessons and cautions arising therefrom.
