An Introduction to Law School of SWUFE

西南财经大学前身院校之一的正阳法商学院,其前身是创建于1946年的重庆朝阳学院,1949年更名为私立重庆正阳法商学院。当时的院长、院董事长均为国民政府司法院院长居正兼职,副院长由国民政府司法行政部次长、最高法院院长夏勤担任。同样为西南财经大学前身院校之一的、创建于1946年8月的相辉文法学院也设有法律专业。1987年5月,在原学校基础部经济法教研室和人口研究所基础上组建法学系,开设经济法专业和人口学专业。1992年,在企业管理专业下招收经济法方向硕士研究生;2001年10月,组建法学院。

Chongqing Sunrise College,one of the predecessors of SWUFE Law school,was founded in 1946,and changed its name into Zhengyang Business and Law School in 1949.The president and director of the college at that time was Ju Zheng,President of Judicial Yuan of the government of Republic of China,and deputy president was Xia Qin,the then vice minister of the Judicial and Administrative Ministry.Xianghui College of Humanities and Law,another predecessor of Southwest University of Finance and Economics,also had its own law department.In May 1987,Department of Law was established based on the Staff Group of Economic Law and Institute of Demographics,and had two principles—economic law and demographics.In 1992,a master degree of economic law was begun to be granted as a branch of corporate management major.In 1998,the major of economic law was adjusted into major of law.In October 2001,Law School was formally founded.
