从19世纪末至20世纪30年代,金陵大学外籍教师在汉学研究中取得了丰硕成果,涉及领域包括历史学、宗教学、文学、社会学等多种学科,在海内外产生了广泛影响,为促进中西方文化交流做出了重要贡献。

Between the late 19^(th) century and the thirties of 20^(th) century,the foreign teachers in University of Nanking made considerable achievements in Sinology.Their research covered such areas as history,religion,literature,sociology,and so on,exerted an extensive influence at home and abroad and contributed to the promotion of cultural exchanges between China and Western countries.
