Objective To investigate the condition of introduced medical vectors carried by entry international ships at Qingdao port and provide scientific evidences for control medical vectors. Methods The introduced medical vectors, including rats, mosquitoes, flies and cockroaches on entry ships at quarantine anchorage of Qingdao port were collected and classified. Results 323 entry ships were checked in 2014, which came from 23 different countries and districts of five continents. The average positive rate of ships and the number of species were: 19.8%(20/101)and 5 for mosquitoes, 83.0%(268/323)and 8 for flies, 16.4%(53/323)and 3 for cockroaches, 0.93%(3/323)and 3 for rodent, respectively. Conclusion It indicates the serious condition of medical vectors carried by entry international ships, with the characteristic of high positive rate and variety of species. More attention should be paid to entry international ships carrying the introduced medical vectors.
