歌剧《高山流水》——虚实交融的别样意境

On the opera Mountain Torrent:A fusion of reality and abstraction

高山流水,伯牙子期,知音难得,摔琴永祭。伯牙子期,仅凭这两个男性,半分钟就可以讲完的故事,似乎难以构成一台歌剧。而武汉歌舞剧院,真的就把这个两千余年前的故事演绎成一部歌剧。由黄维若编剧、莫凡作曲,歌剧《高山流水》于2014年6月与观众见面。

Mountain Torrent was a musical lament of legendary qin player Bo Ya upon the death of his one true friend,Zhong Ziqi.Whatever Bo Ya was playing,Zhong Ziqi saw clearly in his heart.When Zhong Ziqi died,Bo Ya broke his strings and never played the qin again.With only two male roles,the story of Mountain Torrent can be told in half a minute,yet the Wuhan Opera and Dance Drama Theater,along with librettist Huang Weiruo and composer Mo Fan,have created from it a full-length production,which premiered in June.
