Capriccio on the Icy Mountain fuses ethnic music with a classic touch

"情系经典花更红,畅想冰山意更浓。交响合唱显新意,音乐无限思路丰。"这是扎根在辽阔而壮美的新疆,在音乐教育事业及音乐创作道路上不断探索、悉心琢磨的周新华先生,在完成了他的交响合唱作品《冰山上的随想》时所写的一首小诗,由此我们能感受到作者对这部作品饱含的挚爱之情。2015年5月26日晚,这部从2008年开始酝酿并创作至今的作品。

Capnccio on the Icy Mountain is a symphonic choral work adapted from film music for Visitors on the Icy Mountain by Zhou Xinhua,with solos,ensembles and choral passages.The large-scale work contains Tajik musical influence and combines video images that enhance the narrative.On 26 th May,this work was presented as a public rehearsal in Changji,Xinjiang.
