摘要
一个语言学家的成就与其语言背景和早年研究经历有莫大的关系。本文简述著名语言学家韩礼德早年从事汉语教学和研究的经历,分析这段经历对其日后研究的影响。早年经历的回顾以时间轴为主线,相关影响的分析则从汉语研究和功能语言学的创立与发展两个角度入手。
The language background and early research experience have an important role in shaping the overall research profile of a linguist.This paper briefly reviews Halliday’s experience in Chinese teaching and research,and discusses how such experience affects his studies on Chinese Language and the development of Systemic Functional Linguistics.
